Thank you for the fun lesson! I have pre-ordered your book a few weeks ago and so looking forward to it. Now feeling a need to try the Kuretake brand watercolors. I have some Winsor and Newton tubes as well as one of their travels sets and a pan of Yarka St. Petersburg watercolors that I purchased some years ago. Also have been learning to work with gouache so I like the comparison you made with the Kuretake brand to gouache.

Thanks so much for reading, Mary. Yes I definitely recommend them, but it’s always good to work with what you’ve got already.

Thank you so much! I usually use Kuretake japanese watercolors, but in this exercise I used Maison Banane artisanal watercolors https://www.maison-banane.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorEx2Yz_CErle5gzb4AW_JqIsTkX6oHbg_A7na7vyoLtUoJTEfE
